I apologize for not communicating with my neighbors. July is not a good month for writing a blog. There are way too many distractions during the summer months. I promise to try harder in the upcoming months!!!

This weekend Historic Anacostia residents have an opportunity to have more fun in our community. Kick-off events for the Arts and Humanities Festival will begin on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Elizabeth’s East, 1100 block of Alabama Avenue, SE at 11am-4pm. The free event will be filled with live performances, discussions and workshops, storybook readings (yup, including me) and interviews with lots of important people (yup, including you)! It doesn’t stop there folks! The festival continues for additional dates (see below). For more info, check out www.ahfest.com. Let’s make sure to spread the word and bring a neighbor too!
